Unfortunately, we CANNOT accommodate students looking for only a summer job or that would need to work part-time during the school year. Job Title: Medical Receptionist (Patient Coordinator) Company: Monmouth Retina Consultants Location: Toms River, NJ Travel: Travel to our other offices in Little Silver and Manalapan, NJ is required as needed. We do pay mileage reimbursement! Hours: Full Time Our offices are open Monday-Friday 7:15am-5:30pm You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed Your shifts will fall within these hours

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Favorable result on Background Check
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excitement to learn and grow
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
  • Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals
  • Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change
  • Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused
  • Reliable transportation that would allow employee to go to multiple work locations with minimal notice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate patient flow
  • Verify medical and vision insurances
  • Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
  • Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in person requests
  • Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
  • Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
  • Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times
  • Practice urgency at all times with patients’ time, as well as Doctor’s time and schedule
  • Manage patient flow in the office
  • Knowledge of common fees charged for common visits and collect correct payments
  • Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer
  • General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager
