Whole Family Health Center is a non-profit community healthcare organization serving Florida’s Treasure Coast region for over 25 years. They provide an integrated approach to healthcare, offering Adult & Pediatric Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy with delivery services. The Medical Receptionist must be able to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a positive environment for patients and staff and participating in problem-solving activities. This role requires the individual to be detail-oriented, sensitive to patient needs, and require minimal supervision to function efficiently. The position maintains office operations by receiving and distributing communications, maintaining supplies and equipment, and serving patients. The Medical Receptionist works directly with clinical staff and acts as a liaison between the patient and the provider, requiring close communication with patients, nurses, providers, and case managers to coordinate care. This role assists in keeping the office running efficiently by performing clerical duties such as answering telephones, photocopying, faxing, and providing quality customer service. Communication with and respect for the patient is essential to build rapport, and good patient assessment skills are necessary. The individual must prioritize tasks and use space and time efficiently, with the ability to think critically and logically.
