About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Receptionist with exceptional customer service and clinical skills to join their team. The role involves supporting front office operations and ensuring efficient patient entry and care, while adhering to safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High School level education
• Type 40 wpm
• Proficiency in Word and Excel are required
• Personable, dependable, and responsible
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude with impeccable customer service skills
• Authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical computer programs and insurance policies preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the efficient and timely entry of the patient to the office setting.
• Greet all patients in a professional manner.
• Hand out appropriate literature and information & forms to be filled out by patient; check for accuracy and completion.
• Copy insurance ID cards and driver's licenses as well as several other general office activities related to medical practice.
• Support the front office business administrators, and the Office Manager, in various operations areas and tasks.
• Pull and file patient records.
• Frequent telephone communication with patients including outreach and scheduling support.
• New patient chart set-up.
• Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
• Screen patients and employees daily upon entry.
• Check patients In and Out.
• Room patients and keep social distancing guidelines.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Sanitize and clean respective areas as needed.
