Whole Family Health Center is a non-profit community healthcare organization serving Florida’s Treasure Coast region for over 25 years. They offer an integrated approach to healthcare, providing access to Adult & Pediatric Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy with delivery services. The Medical Receptionist must be able to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a positive environment for patients and staff and participating in problem-solving activities. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, sensitive to patient needs, and requires minimal supervision to function efficiently. The Medical Receptionist maintains office operations by receiving and distributing communications, maintaining supplies and equipment, and serving patients. This role works directly with clinical staff and acts as a liaison between the patient and the provider. Close communication with patients, nurses, providers, and case managers is necessary to coordinate care. This position assists in keeping the office running efficiently by performing clerical duties such as answering telephones, photocopying, faxing, and providing quality customer service. Communication with and respect for the patient is essential to build rapport, and good patient assessment skills are vital. The Medical Receptionist must prioritize tasks and use space and time efficiently, demonstrating critical and logical thinking.
