About The Position

This position serves a dual role, supporting either a Call Center environment or a Front Desk setting within a primary care department. In the Call Center, the focus is on handling incoming calls with high availability and adherence to department guidelines. In the Front Desk role, responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting co-pays, scheduling appointments and referrals, and performing clerical duties. Both roles aim to provide quality service through timely and courteous assistance to patients. The primary care department sees approximately 100 patients daily, with a team of 11 clinicians, and emphasizes collaboration and excellent patient experience. Services offered include yearly physicals, wellness visits, pre-ops, general visits, video/phone visits, in-clinic procedures, well child visits, and nurse visits. Specific front desk duties involve greeting patients, check-in, scheduling, patient forms management, follow-up calls, electronic medical record tasks, and problem-solving, requiring excellent customer service, organization, and computer skills. The clinic operates Monday 7 AM-6 PM and Tuesday-Friday 7 AM-5 PM, with work schedules varying within these hours.

Requirements

  • 6 months healthcare related experience
  • Accurate computer/keyboarding skills required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of the following types of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls in a Call Center environment, maintaining a minimum of 93% availability.
  • Meet department-specific agent expectations regarding measurement and follow defined guidelines.
