The Medical Receptionist is responsible for supporting office operations and works independently and interdependently with other office staff to provide efficient, cost effective, quality patient care. This Per Diem role involves hybrid work after training. The position requires performing critical job functions that lead to a streamlined and efficient patient experience, with attention to detail to ensure schedules are accurate based on provider preference sheets and office standards. The role also involves meeting performance measures for each job function and working collaboratively with staff and management. Maintaining confidentiality related to patients, family, and employees is crucial. The receptionist will greet visitors, answer and route telephone calls, and use appropriate diction and grammar. Professional manners, tact, and calmness are expected in all dealings, along with a customer service orientation. The role implements day-to-day operations of the specific service or environment and maintains a safe and secure environment. Competency with PC terminals, telephones, copiers, e-mail systems, fax machines, and typewriters is required.
