About The Position

United Vein & Vascular Centers is a rapidly expanding healthcare innovator focused on providing state-of-the-art, minimally invasive vein and vascular care. We are seeking dynamic team members to join our exceptional team of skilled physicians and passionate staff. This role is a float position primarily covering Brenham and Woodlands, with occasional coverage to South Clinics (Clear Lake, Cypress, Sugar Land, and West University) locations. Mileage reimbursement is eligible for this position. The Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Coordinator) is responsible for greeting patients, signing them in, obtaining insurance information, providing forms, processing payments, and scheduling appointments.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required
Must be willing to travel to other clinics, as needed in the Houston market.
2+ years’ experience in medical assisting or administration.
This is a float position; the person in this role must be able to support the regional clinics, as needed.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred
Familiarity with ECW a plus

Responsibilities

Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
Provide patients with intake and new patient forms, as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provided schedule guidelines.
Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EMR system.
Audit schedule to ensure patient insurance eligibility.
Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.
