About The Position

Insight Medical Imaging, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services with over 650 employees and 20 locations across Edmonton, surrounding regions, and Fort McMurray, is seeking float and rotating Medical Receptionists to join their dynamic and expanding team. These positions will rotate around 19 locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area, with both full-time and part-time schedules available. The company emphasizes meaningful connections with patients, physicians, and employees, aiming to make patients feel comfortable, collaborate with physicians for timely diagnoses, and foster a professional development environment for employees.

Requirements

Grade 12 graduate.
Computer experience with minimum 50 words per minute
Self motivated
Ability to work in a fast paced/high stress environment
Personal skills which include attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to interact with patients in a tactful and courteous manner
Knowledge of office routines, schedules, and protocol

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and understand of medical terminology are considered an asset
Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, Medical Transcription program an asset

Responsibilities

Greeting and checking in of all patients
Documentation of patient information on computer
Ensures all previous examinations are imported
Porter and change patients in preparation for exams
Handle all incoming report and image requests
Requesting previous exams from outside facilities
Looking up and importing previous studies prior to arrival of scheduled patients
Must maintain the utmost in professional confidence of patient information and/or results
Provide patients with exam preparations
