About The Position

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for a medical practice. This is a full-time position with hours from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves greeting patients, managing patient information and appointments, handling phone calls, collecting payments, and processing medical records. The position also requires fulfilling compliance responsibilities and upholding organizational values.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
  • Data Entry.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).
  • Minimum Experience: Six months.

  • Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
  • Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system.
  • Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
  • Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
  • Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable.
  • Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
  • Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
  • Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Maintains and Models the Organization values.
  • Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
