This position will be supporting the CT practice. Works independently within the Department of Radiology, across the Mayo enterprise and as a consultant outside of Mayo, using scientific methods to provide technical support for medical imaging equipment and patient safety in imaging areas. Works closely with clinical staff, assisting with all technical aspects of medical imaging, performing quality control testing, evaluating and optimizing imaging protocols, and supporting imaging systems and databases. Directs and practices safety guidelines for themselves, staff and patients. Provides leadership, builds commitment, educates and trains personnel in the work area and generates feedback. Participates in professional educational activities. Assists Operations Managers and Directors with the preparation of equipment purchases and space requests as needed and directed. Involved with the technical aspects of safety, regulatory compliance and accreditation processes required to allow billing for departmental imaging procedures. Collects specific performance data and generates annual reports for Physicist’s signatures that are required for accreditation of imaging equipment. Supports and participates in innovation and change initiatives. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/ we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position.
