About The Position

The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre at Trillium Health Partners Credit Valley Hospital is seeking a permanent, full-time Medical Physicist. This role involves working in collaboration with the medical physics team to provide clinical support within a recognized radiation oncology program known for its high quality, efficiency, and innovations in safety and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion and innovation for advancing medical physics.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Medical Physics
• Successful completion of a CAMPEP accredited residency training program in Radiation Oncology Physics
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Satisfactory attendance and performance required

Nice To Haves

• Membership in the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM) or equivalent is preferred and or required within two years of entering this position

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in collaboration with the medical physics team.
• Responsible for all clinical and technical aspects of the medical physics program.
• Conduct acceptance and commissioning of new equipment.
• Perform chart checking.
• Ensure quality assurance.
• Provide treatment planning and delivery support.
• Engage in teaching activities.
• Participate in research and development activities of the medical physics department.
