About The Position

We are seeking a certified Medical Physicist to support a radiation oncology program. The Medical Physicist will provide clinical physics support for radiation therapy treatment planning, quality assurance, and dosimetry. This is a high-compensation contract role requiring ABR certification and experience in a clinical radiation oncology environment.

Requirements

  • ABR certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics required
  • Active state licensure or eligibility in Idaho
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical medical physics experience in radiation oncology
  • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or DMP) in Medical Physics or related field preferred
  • Experience with ARIA RadOnc and EPIC preferred
  • Experience with SHARE DRIVE CTC-RadOnc preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical physics support for external beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy
  • Perform and oversee treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and plan review
  • Conduct equipment quality assurance programs for linear accelerators and imaging systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and RT staff on complex cases
  • Maintain documentation for all QA procedures and treatment planning activities
