They will also design and construct patient treatment aids, consult with radiation oncologists on treatment plans, and be directly involved in all aspects of brachytherapy, including radiation protection, source management, and quality assurance. The position requires adherence to the radiation safety program, participation in regulatory surveys, and maintenance of quality management programs for radiotherapy equipment. The physicist will also play a role in equipment planning, evaluation, budget preparation, and serve as a technical resource for the department.
