Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university and/or certification in radiation oncology.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or science from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with Radiation Oncology EMR software and treatment planning systems.
  • Proficiency in coding and scripting in C# or Python.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated care and process team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed especially late night shifts to conduct patient specific quality assurance.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize work flow.
  • Technical problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to the Clinical Medical Physicists in the general medical physics duties pertaining to operating a radiotherapy clinic.
  • Includes machine and patient specific quality assurance (QA).
  • Includes development and implementation of new technology and process.
  • Includes participation in the acceptance testing and commissioning of a new treatment machine.
  • Works under the direct supervision of a board-certified clinical physicist.
