About The Position
Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking a medical physician to provide services for inpatient psychiatry patients at a free-standing behavioral health hospital. The role is PRN and provides flexible coverage, including weekends, holidays, and vacations. The physician will work with a multidisciplinary care team. Roxbury Treatment Center is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). The center is located on a 26-acre campus in Shippensburg, with access from Interstate 81 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It is approximately 40 miles southwest of Harrisburg and 100 miles northeast of Baltimore.
Requirements
- Board certification in family medicine or internal medicine.
- Active Pennsylvania medical license.
- Active DEA registration.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical histories and physical examinations (H&Ps) for inpatient psychiatry patients.
- Provide consultations and follow-up care for inpatient psychiatry patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and support staff.
