The Small Animal Hospital is recruiting a veterinary technician for the Medical Oncology service. We are seeking a technician who is passionate about the opportunities the oncology specialty can provide in prolonging the lives of their patients, while extending compassion and empathy to their patients and loved ones. Technicians provide support by assisting veterinarians with exams and treatments, as well as providing insight, instruction, and demonstration to veterinary students. In particular, this position will assist the Medical Oncology service. Access to the wide range of treatments and services offered through the Oncology Service makes this a great opportunity for those considering obtaining their specialty certification. The service receives Monday - Friday. Typical shifts are between the hours of 7:30am - 5:00pm This is a full-time, benefited position and is considered essential personnel. A post-offer education verification, background check, and health assessment are required. This is a CARE position offering limited benefits, including health insurance and paid time off. When appropriate certifications are achieved, promotional opportunities to a level II title may be available. This position will also become eligible for transition into a TEAMS (staff) salary plan.
