About The Position

Join our dedicated Medical Oncology team as a Registered Nurse, where you’ll work Monday through Friday, 1st shift (8-hour shifts, schedule TBD) — with no weekends or holidays. Requirements

• Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited nursing program
• BSN required or enrollment in a BSN program (completion within 4 years of hire)
• Valid RN license in the State of Michigan
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card
• BLS Provider Card
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in oncology care
• Communication: Effectively communicates with patients, families, and colleagues
• Compassion: Demonstrates compassionate, patient-centered care
• Critical Thinking: Analyzes and evaluates clinical information
• Prioritization: Continuously prioritizes patient care needs
• Nursing Process: Applies assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Safe Care: Uses two patient identifiers for all care
• Resource Utilization: Applies policies, procedures, and clinical resources
• Time Management: Manages patient assignments holistically

Nice To Haves

• Oncology Nursing Certification
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Oncology experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and telephone triage
• Adhere to infection prevention guidelines
• Provide individualized patient and caregiver education
• Communicate with ordering providers and care teams
• Manage side effects and medication refills
• Support patients through the oncology care continuum
• Applies assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Delegates tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability
