About The Position
Riverside is seeking a caring and dedicated Physician for Medical Oncology to join our team at Riverside Cancer Specialists of Tidewater in Chesapeake, Virginia. Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
- Completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
- Eligibility for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure
- DEA certification or eligibility
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient medical oncology and hematology care.
- Diagnose, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for cancer patients.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, advanced practice providers, and other specialists.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care coordination activities.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
