Riverside is seeking a caring and dedicated Physician for Medical Oncology to join our team at Riverside Cancer Specialists of Tidewater in Chesapeake, Virginia. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
  • Eligibility for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure
  • DEA certification or eligibility
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient medical oncology and hematology care.
  • Diagnose, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for cancer patients.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, advanced practice providers, and other specialists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care coordination activities.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Support Riverside's commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
