About The Position

Olympic Medical Center is seeking a Medical Oncology Nurse Coordinator to work under the direction of a Medical Oncologist in an outpatient practice. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of medical oncology patients. The coordinator will provide patient care coordination, participate in patient and family teaching, and maintain professional nursing standards. They will also support the image of professional nursing and the Olympic Medical Cancer Center, coordinating activities with the healthcare team and outside medical providers. The position requires handling patients in various circumstances, potentially including emergency or crisis situations.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
Minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory medical clinic required.
Current Washington State Registered Nurse License required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

BSN or equivalent preferred.
Medical oncology experience preferred.
OCN certification within 3 years of hire strongly preferred.
If not OCN certified, must complete 12 oncology-based CEs annually or total of 36 in a 3-year period.

Responsibilities
