Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • May be required to travel to satellite offices.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical and administrative support to Surgical Oncology physicians in an outpatient hospital setting.
  • Ensures efficient patient flow, high-quality care delivery, and a positive patient experience.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served and applies these principles to provide individualized, patient-centered care.
  • Rooms patients and obtains vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature.
  • Assists with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the office.
  • Supports physicians and clinical staff during patient visits and office procedures.
  • Prepares exam rooms and assists with in-office procedures as needed.
  • Schedules patient appointments, including follow-ups and new patient visits.
  • Obtains and uploads outside medical records and radiology imaging for new and established patients.
  • Coordinates retrieval of necessary documentation to support continuity of care.
  • Orders and maintains clinical office supplies.
  • Provides general administrative and clinical support to the care team.
