Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of computer literacy, including Word and Excel.
  • Minimum one year of experience with billing for Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, and commercial insurance.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years of experience in a private physician’s office or community health center preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries.
  • Accurately collect and enter patient demographic and financial information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and daily front-desk operations.
  • Enter billing information using the Patient Care Network System.
  • Act as liaison between patients and medical/support staff.
  • Participate in 1-2 weekend health fairs or community events annually.
  • Serve patients across age groups, with a focus on adults and geriatric populations.
