Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for a Medical Office Manager to join our team at RMA of New York in Eastside, New York City. Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Eastern Time Compensation: $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience) This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business administration or other relevant field required, Bachelors’ degree preferred. Additional years of relevant experience beyond that required may be substituted for higher education.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in healthcare industry required.
  • Prior Supervisory/Management experience; demonstrated leadership qualities & activities required.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, database, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote team building is required.
  • Verbal and written abilities to communicate accurately and concisely required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner required.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical related degree and/or applicable work experience preferred.
  • Financial background & prior experience such as a background with developing and maintaining budgets and general accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for providing management and direction for their site in all areas of local operations including employee supervision, training and development, patient satisfaction, quality assurance, financial integrity of the assigned site, and facility appearance and maintenance.
  • Supervises and redirects assigned staff as needed to improve operational efficiencies and service delivery.
  • Responsible for coordinating the training and orientation of new staff; and training existing staff on new or revised program policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a high standard of staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Helps to set goals for assigned staff and motivates staff to accomplish the goals. Serves as a support and a resource to all.
  • Fosters quality patient services and clinical operations by communicating with staff and physicians, enforcing practice operational and human resource policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a resource for questions and issues related to a range of operational issues including but not limited to patient scheduling, staff schedules, patient billing, insurance coverage, office and medical supplies and equipment, practice administrative procedures and policy, compliance with federal, local and state agencies, budgetary issues, patient complaints, staff issues, etc.
  • Complies with HIPAA standards & regulations and ensure office staff are in compliance and trained appropriately.
  • Assists in the development of the annual budget for assigned location.
  • Acts as liaison between the Practice and all vendors and service contractors providing goods or services at the assigned site.
  • Works closely with Regional Executive Director of Operations/ Director of Operations to ensure location operations remain within budget.
  • Ensures financial policies and procedures are closely followed and timelines adhered to
