About The Position

Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. They work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice, providing clerical support and assisting in the delivery of healthcare and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice. This role is vital in ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic experience for patients and families. By supporting administrative processes, referrals, and clinical workflows, this position helps ensure timely access to care and supports providers in delivering high-quality pediatric GI services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Minimum of six months’ experience with computer, Microsoft Office, and email.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ health care facility clinical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months’ experience as a medical office assistant (MOA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months’ experience with an electronic health record.
  • Clinical education (including evidence of current enrollment or completion of OSF Medical Group Prime Path Bridge Program
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
