Requirements

  • A minimum of one (1) year of administrative and medical assistant experience in an outpatient setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • A solid understanding of medical examination practices, terminology, and the nuances of behavioral health disorders, including medications and their side effects, is essential.
  • Demonstrate the ability to take and record vital signs accurately.
  • Maintain client confidentiality diligently.
  • Building rapport with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of health education.
  • Adherence to protocols will ensure successful patient interactions and operational efficiency within the clinic.
  • Successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Division Director in Adult Outpatient Medical Services with various administrative tasks, from service reports to nursing assessments.
  • Track PCP follow-ups.
  • Conduct chart audits.
  • Coordinate events.
  • Manage phone calls.
  • Maintain client records.
  • Assist nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and medical practitioners.
  • Track follow-ups on primary care providers and laboratory tests.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports.
  • Organize events and trainings.
  • Explain medical procedures to clients.
  • Engage in routine supportive counseling.
  • Complete prior authorization forms.
