Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in Medical Assisting
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Knowledge of clinical procedures such as venipunctures, ECGs, and vital sign measurements
- Knowledge of medical recordkeeping practices, confidentiality regulations, and healthcare documentation
- Skill in collecting lab samples, performing diagnostic procedures, and preparing patients for exams
- Skill in managing reception tasks, scheduling appointments, and verifying patient insurance information
- Ability to maintain compliance with student immunization requirements and update records accordingly
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare staff to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in a primary care or clinical office setting
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Collects lab samples, performs venipunctures, and conducts ECGs to support diagnostic procedures
- Takes and records vital signs, prepares patients for exams, and facilitates clinical procedures to ensure quality patient care
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and healthcare regulations
- Supports reception and check-out areas by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and updating patient records
- Ensures student immunization compliance by reviewing medical documentation and updating records accordingly
- Contributes to a collaborative healthcare environment by coordinating with medical staff and optimizing operational efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
