About The Position

Works collaboratively with and under the supervision of a physician to provide medical care to patients. Assess patient needs, will conduct all H&Ps and plan care processes, complete medical reviews for admissions and risk management, evaluates patient’s response to treatment, participates in HR involvement when needed with Employee Health, manages the therapeutic milieu and directs care. This position will serve a patient population ages 5-100.

Requirements

• Registered nurse with active South Carolina license.
• MSN degree.
• Certified as Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina.
• Current South Carolina prescriptive authority.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One (1) year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Licensed as a registered nurse to practice in the State of South Carolina with certification as a nurse practitioner.
• Use advanced practice medical nursing skills to care for physically and/or mentally ill patients.
• Understand technical information from supervisors, charts, reference books, manuals, and labels.
• Use eyes, hands, and fingers with skill.
• Able to rapidly respond to emergency situations.
• Change from one duty to another frequently.
• Follow instructions exactly.
• Record information accurately and legibly.
• Work well with other members of the department, with medical staff, nursing staff and administrative staff.
