About The Position

Requirements

Possess and maintain a current, unrestricted, complete, and active graduate professional nurse and nurse practitioner registration in Massachusetts.
Obtain certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Be compassionate, sensitive, and possess strong reasoning and thinking skills.
Possess strong computer skills, including experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Providing outpatient and inpatient care to patients experiencing changes or decline in mental status, or managing chronic or urgent medical conditions.
Working independently within the medical team, with specific responsibilities delegated by the Chief of Medical Services.
Participating in an interdisciplinary team to provide patient care.
Performing medical evaluations, risk factor assessments and analysis, ordering diagnostic and therapeutic tests, and conducting consultations and appointments.
Prescribing medications in accordance with clinic policy, formulary, and relevant state regulations.
Consulting with physicians on cases that exceed the scope of an Advanced Practice Nurse's qualifications.
Documenting all relevant patient data in the electronic medical record and case presentations.
Ensuring effective communication with other health professionals to facilitate seamless clinic service delivery to patients.
Providing consultations to program staff to enhance the overall quality of clinic service delivery.
