As a Medical Malpractice Attorney (Defense) in Concord, your counsel and strategies will directly impact the lives and careers of our clients. You will work alongside a team of partners, associates, and paralegals to develop robust defense strategies, manage each case from inception through trial or settlement, and provide clear, decisive legal guidance. Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in the state of New Hampshire.
• A minimum of 5+ years of direct experience in medical malpractice defense litigation, with a proven record of successfully representing healthcare providers.
• Strong comprehension of medical terminology, human anatomy, and healthcare regulations as required for informed case analysis.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills with a keen eye for detail to produce clear, persuasive, and accurate legal documents.
• Proven track record in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction and court advocacy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under significant pressure.
• High professional integrity, ethical standards, and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of medical malpractice defense cases from initial review through resolution, ensuring all legal and procedural deadlines are met.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis of medical records, statutes, and case law to form the foundation of solid defense strategies.
• Draft, review, and file crucial legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, and fact witnesses, preparing meticulous and effective examination outlines.
• Collaborate with and prepare expert witnesses for trial and deposition, vetting their opinions and ensuring their testimony is both credible and persuasive.
• Represent clients effectively in court appearances, hearings, and at trial, presenting a strong and coherent defense case.
• Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients, protecting their interests and financial stability.
• Provide strategic and timely legal advice to clients, keeping them informed of case status, potential risks, and legal options.
