Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Experience with inventory management systems and procurement processes.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of medical supplies and equipment.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages.
Track expiration dates and ensure the timely removal of outdated or expired items.
Source and procure medical supplies, equipment, and services from approved vendors.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices.
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment.
Maintain organized and secure storage facilities.
Ensure that all supplies are stored in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Coordinate the transportation and delivery of supplies to various departments or facilities.
Work with clinical staff to understand their specific needs and adjust supply levels accordingly.
Develop and implement efficient logistical processes to improve overall operations.
Maintain accurate records of all inventory, orders, and transactions.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including those related to hazardous materials and medical waste.
Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies.
Inspect incoming supplies and equipment for quality and accuracy.
Manage returns and exchanges of defective or incorrect items.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the reliability of supplies.
Work closely with other logistics and supply chain team members to coordinate efforts.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff or new hires as needed.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to address any supply chain issues.
