Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and procurement processes.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages.
  • Track expiration dates and ensure the timely removal of outdated or expired items.
  • Source and procure medical supplies, equipment, and services from approved vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain organized and secure storage facilities.
  • Ensure that all supplies are stored in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate the transportation and delivery of supplies to various departments or facilities.
  • Work with clinical staff to understand their specific needs and adjust supply levels accordingly.
  • Develop and implement efficient logistical processes to improve overall operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory, orders, and transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including those related to hazardous materials and medical waste.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory bodies.
  • Inspect incoming supplies and equipment for quality and accuracy.
  • Manage returns and exchanges of defective or incorrect items.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the reliability of supplies.
  • Work closely with other logistics and supply chain team members to coordinate efforts.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff or new hires as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments to address any supply chain issues.
