About The Position

Tri-County Technical College’s Health Education Division is seeking collaborative, energetic, and innovative Medical Laboratory Technology Adjunct Instructors. The successful candidates will teach Medical Laboratory Technology courses through systematically planned and delivered instruction, maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate achievement, and assign grades. Instruction is face-to-face; online instruction is not available. Classes are offered during the day at the Pendleton Campus. The role is part-time and reports to the Health Professions Department Head and the Medical Laboratory Technology Program Director. The spring semester start date is January 4, 2027.

Requirements

• Associate degree.
• MLT (ASCP) certification or another national certification (NCA or AMT).
• Adequate knowledge and proficiency in laboratory content areas.
• Ability to teach effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree with MLS (ASCP) certification.
• Teaching experience in a community college.
• Experience using a variety of active and collaborative learning strategies.
• Experience implementing innovative assessments to measure student learning.
• Demonstrated track record of regular professional development related to teaching and the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach Medical Laboratory Technology courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction.
• Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance.
• Evaluate students’ level of achievement and assign grades.
