About The Position
One (1) regular part time Medical Laboratory Technologist position is available at Groves Memorial Community Hospital within our Laboratory Department. This position is unionized with OPSEU – Local 236.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
- Experienced in Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine and Phlebotomy
- Superior communication, team building, technology and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- ECG skills an asset
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and sound judgment as it pertains to patient and staff safety
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with many and varied internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies
- Knowledge and compliance with IQMH and Lab Licensing Standards
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
