About The Position

Dynacare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their Core Lab team in Brampton, Ontario. This role is crucial for delivering high-level clinical and scientific quality through a variety of testing using the latest technology. The technologist's contributions will directly impact patient care by providing results and reports to physicians, which are critical for downstream solutions and life-saving treatments. The position is permanent full-time, with a rotational shift schedule including weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Statutory Holidays, totaling 37.5 hours per week, focused on Chemistry, and is an onsite role.

Requirements

• You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment
• Carry a CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
• Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution

Nice To Haves

• working experience in the Chemistry field
• knowledge and understanding of CQI
• knowledge of IQMH/Accreditation Canada

Responsibilities

• Ensuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures.
• Performing routine testing duties within Chemistry which includes but not limited to analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.
• Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results.
• Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities
