About The Position

Humber River Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist, Microbiology to join their Laboratory Services Department. This department utilizes state-of-the-art equipment, technology, and processes to collect and test clinical specimens. Medical Laboratory Technologists play a crucial role in assisting physicians with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing tests on various bodily fluids. Requirements

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Current registration as General Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge & skills in Clinical Microbiology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively alone or with all team members, including co-workers, physicians and other health care team members.
• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of recent Clinical Microbiology experience is preferred
• An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Routine & Stat Laboratory Testing in Microbiology
• Can be assigned and/or trained in other Laboratory Disciplines and other related duties, including but not limited to Pathology
