About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine testing in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology laboratory areas to aid physicians and clinical care teams in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related science field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Experience performing routine laboratory testing in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Experience with specific laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Experience in quality control and quality assurance procedures.
