About The Position

Performs laboratory tests in one or more of the fields of hematology, urinalysis, and chemistry in order to obtain data for use by the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs and monitors daily quality control and instrument maintenance. Observes laboratory safety regulations. Processes and analyzes samples in a timely and orderly fashion and meets usual and customary levels of productivity while following procedures for accurate identification. Takes appropriate action for Quality Control in all technical areas & follows established Infection Control Procedures for all job related functions. Accurately processes send-out samples according to reference lab requirements. Follows established department criteria for processing and reporting of critical test values. Keeps work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. Performs or assists with performance of Phlebotomy activities in a timely and professional manner. Actively tracks and resolves issues regarding missing samples or requisitions in a timely manner. Pursues the matter to a logical conclusion before sample deterioration. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements
