Requirements

Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related science field.
AMT, ASCP, or equivalent certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of clinical laboratory experience performing patient testing.
Experience performing hematology and chemistry testing in a clinical laboratory.
Experience with laboratory quality control, instrument maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Phlebotomy experience.
Experience in a high-volume outpatient or oncology laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, and preparation for laboratory testing.
Conduct diagnostic laboratory testing in hematology, chemistry, immunology, and other moderate-complexity testing areas.
Analyze and verify test results, identifying discrepancies and taking appropriate corrective action when needed.
Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Perform quality control procedures, proficiency testing, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
Process, prepare, and coordinate specimens for reference laboratory testing and maintain patient testing records.
Assist with specialized procedures and support providers with clinical diagnostic services.
Monitor laboratory inventory, prepare reagents and solutions, and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment.
Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, quality assurance standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Protect patient confidentiality while delivering accurate, timely laboratory results that support exceptional patient care.
