About The Position
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Clinical Laboratory team. This full-time day shift position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment where laboratory professionals play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will perform laboratory tests; interpret test results; document and report test results; and maintain equipment, instruments, and tools.
Requirements
- Associates degree
- ASCP or AMT certification
- ASCP or AMT certification eligible
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory data and test results.
- Accurately document and report test findings.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Follow quality assurance, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
