Medical Laboratory Tech Weekends Plus One Weekday
About The Position
Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a full-time position. This role requires knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, skills to perform high complexity testing, and an understanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. The technician must maintain records of performance, utilize independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within QC standards, and perform testing according to standard operating procedures. The position offers premium pay for weekend hours and is located at Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related biological science from an accredited institution.
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Current students must attain ASCP/AMT certification within 18 months.
- Must meet CLIA '88 standards to be qualified as testing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain records of performance.
- Utilize independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within QC standards.
- Perform high complexity testing.
