About The Position

Join our laboratory team as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and play a vital role in helping physicians diagnose, treat, and monitor patients through accurate and timely laboratory testing. As an MLT, you'll use advanced laboratory technology and scientific expertise to perform testing that directly impacts patient outcomes. Every specimen you analyze contributes to critical healthcare decisions, making your work an essential part of the patient care journey.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program; or Associate degree with at least 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university, including biology and chemistry coursework, plus three years of full-time clinical laboratory experience; or Successful completion of an equivalent training program meeting applicable regulatory requirements.
  • MLT (ASCP) OR MLT (AMT) OR HEW CLS (NCA) OR Equivalent certification.
  • Registry certification must be obtained within 12 months of completion of school, training, or equivalent educational requirements in accordance with CLIA standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to quality, patient safety, and laboratory excellence.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Analyze specimens and accurately interpret test results.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met to maintain testing accuracy and reliability.
  • Document and report laboratory findings promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with specimen collection, processing, and preparation as needed.
  • Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing laboratory education.
