As an MLT, you'll use advanced laboratory technology and scientific expertise to perform testing that directly impacts patient outcomes. Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program; or Associate degree with at least 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university, including biology and chemistry coursework, plus three years of full-time clinical laboratory experience; or Successful completion of an equivalent training program meeting applicable regulatory requirements.
MLT (ASCP) OR MLT (AMT) OR HEW CLS (NCA) OR Equivalent certification.
Registry certification must be obtained within 12 months of completion of school, training, or equivalent educational requirements in accordance with CLIA standards.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
Analyze specimens and accurately interpret test results.
Ensure quality control standards are met to maintain testing accuracy and reliability.
Document and report laboratory findings promptly and accurately.
Assist with specimen collection, processing, and preparation as needed.
Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing laboratory education.
