Requirements

  • At least six months of prior clinical laboratory experience.
  • An Associate's degree in a chemical or biological science (or completion of an accredited medical laboratory technician program).
  • Associates of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise clinical laboratory testing and maintaining laboratory operations within regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing procedures.
  • Monitor quality control and instrument performance to ensure test validity.
  • Manage equipment maintenance.
  • Accurately track and label specimens.
  • Communicate critical or abnormal results to physicians and nursing staff in a timely manner.
