Requirements
- At least six months of prior clinical laboratory experience.
- An Associate's degree in a chemical or biological science (or completion of an accredited medical laboratory technician program).
- Associates of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA
Nice To Haves
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent credential is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform precise clinical laboratory testing and maintaining laboratory operations within regulatory guidelines.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing procedures.
- Monitor quality control and instrument performance to ensure test validity.
- Manage equipment maintenance.
- Accurately track and label specimens.
- Communicate critical or abnormal results to physicians and nursing staff in a timely manner.
