Requirements

Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized certifying agency.
Current registration with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in laboratory procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a healthcare team.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine venipunctures and collect specimens ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
Conduct chemical, hematological, and microbiological analyses using manual and automated techniques.
Analyze blood cell morphology and perform blood typing and compatibility testing.
Evaluate test results and communicate abnormal or critical findings promptly to healthcare providers.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Keep meticulous records of tests, results, and inventory, ensuring laboratory efficiency.
Participate in ongoing education to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and practices.
Collaborate closely with medical staff to support comprehensive patient care.
