About The Position

Under the general supervision of a supervisor, the medical laboratory technician provides technical assistance in the performance of routine tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s of Science degree in medical technology or a related science field
• Graduate of an accredited MLT program.
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Two (2) years of experience in a hospital setting are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares reagents and solutions.
• Examine and analyze bodily fluids and cells.
• Reports abnormalities and maintains a detailed record of daily activities.
• Performs phlebotomy procedures when necessary.
• Operate blood bank and type and cross-match blood samples.
• Responsible for lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to fifty (50) pounds in weight.
• Attends mandatory meetings.
• Adheres to the dress code, attendance, and all other company policies and procedures.
