Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field OR Equivalent combination of education and laboratory experience totaling at least 2 years
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent required
- MLT (ASCP) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Nice To Haves
- Must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly
Responsibilities
- Perform routine, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing on blood and body fluid specimens
- Ensure accurate and reliable results through strict adherence to quality control protocols
- Conduct instrument function checks and preventative maintenance per department standards
- Maintain required records and statistical data in compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist in training new employees and students on laboratory procedures
- Collect chain-of-custody urine drug screens as required
- Work with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and accuracy
