This position involves performing and reporting tests of all complexity levels, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases and injuries. The role requires problem-solving skills, participation in Quality Assurance and Quality Control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, specimen processing, and phlebotomy. For the Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) role, additional responsibilities include interpreting and correlating test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge, and potentially participating in research, development, education, and technical consultation.
