About The Position

Performs and reports a variety of simple to complex laboratory procedures and tests. The work involves limited independent judgment and interpretation and requires scientific techniques and skills to operate sophisticated electronic laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related scientific field, or U.S. Military medical laboratory training.
• Other education may substitute for the required associate’s degree when combined with Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist certification from ASCP or AMT.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from ASCP or AMT is required within one year from hire or placement.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Medical Laboratory Technician or Scientist experience is preferred.
