About The Position

Lakeview Hospital is looking to hire an MLS or MLT to join our Laboratory team! This position is responsible for performing and analyzing complex medical laboratory tests and procedures which require the exercise of independent judgment with supervision.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related science from an accredited college or university (for MLS).
Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field (for MLT).
Current certification as Medical Technologist (MT), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the National Board of Registry American Society Clinical Pathology (ASCP) (for MLS). If not present at hire must have within one year of start date.
Current certification as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the National Board of Registry, American Society Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT) or equivalent (for MLT). If not present at hire, must have within one year of start date.
Must have valid driver’s license and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines.
Knowledge and skills sufficient to provide technical instructions and communicate and advise other departments on clinical laboratory procedures.
Basic leadership capabilities and good organizational skills (for MLS).
