Where You’ll Work Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 300-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. This position accurately analyzes and reports all tests ordered by the Medical Staff in a timely manner and according to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA OR High school diploma/GED and completed an official military medical laboratory course and held the military enlisted occupational speciality of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Lab Technician)
- Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as judged by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory
- Physical, Exertion, and Sensory - Medium
Nice To Haves
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
