About The Position
Vancouver Clinic is hiring a Full-Time Medical Lab Scientist to support the busy clinical lab with Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis. This role plays a vital part in patient care through accurate testing, quality control, and equipment maintenance. The Medical Lab Scientist will perform routine lab analyses, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and support instrument operations and staff training.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited MLS.
- ASCP certification required.
- Must pass visual color discrimination testing.
- Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of clinical lab experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine lab tests and report results accurately and on time
- Maintain and calibrate lab instruments; perform quality control procedures
- Document and communicate critical values and abnormal results
- Assist with instrument validation, troubleshooting, and staff training
- Support special projects and contribute to procedure development
