Medical Laboratory Scientist PRN (New Grads are Welcome)
About The Position
Texas Health Stephenville is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join their team. This position is PRN and welcomes new graduates. The Medical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for specimen integrity, laboratory operations, professional accountability, test procedures, quality control/documentation, and safety. The hospital is a 98-bed, full-service facility serving Erath County and surrounding areas since 1926. It is a Pathway to Excellence® designated hospital with specialties including surgical services, women’s and infant care, advanced diagnostic imaging, wound care, and cardiac rehabilitation. It is also a Level IV Trauma Center and a Level III Stroke Support facility, with Joint Commission Disease-Specific Certification for Chest Pain Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred. Degree may be obtained within 3 months of hire required.
- Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program required.
- MLS (ASCP) Medical Lab Scientist required within 6 months after hire
- MT (ASCP) Medical Technologist required within 6 months after hire
- Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology required within 6 months after hire
- Or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology required within 6 months after hire
