About The Position
Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician to work a 14-week assignment in the clinical lab! This is a temporary full-time position with an evening shift. The role may involve floating to Sentara BelleHarbour (freestanding emergency department). The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician will perform laboratory tests, interpret results, and document and report findings. They will also be responsible for maintaining department equipment, instruments, and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical or biological science or Medical Laboratory Science OR Associates degree in medical technology
- AMT Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) or ASCP Technologist (MLS/MLT) certification/licensure
- ASCP or AMT certification required
